My

About

Born in 1986 in Reading, England, I escaped moved to Australia with my family at the age of four. With artistic talent running in the family it was clear from a young age that I had also caught the design bug; proven when I spent several hours drawing a detailed replica of Henry the Train on Microsoft Paint at the age of 6.

Throughout my schooling I continued my design work, exploring paint, technical drawing, digital design and also inhaling everything Star Wars. I progressed from the Paint world and into the Adobe world in 2002, creating my final school works within Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. Being a fan of learn-it-yourself, I continued to explore the programs, soon branching into InDesign, and landing a job within a print design company.

In 2005 I delved into the world of Industrial Design, completing my Honours Degree in 2008 in Melbourne, Australia. This course, along with nearly 3 years of industry experience including print and exhibition design, has equipped me with a competent knowledge of software packages ranging from Adobe, AutoCAD, Revit Architecture, 3D Studio Max and SolidWorks.

As of March, 2009 I am living in the US of A and working as a Media Designer in the seasonal garden state of New Jersey.

I believe that good design is built upon practical reasoning and logic, not reasoning that is later created to excuse the finished product. I do lean towards the conceptual development process, avoiding the nitty-gritty areas of plastic supports and screw holes, and enjoy the glory from creating the finished product within 3D software packages such as 3D Studio Max.

If you wandered past my house on any given evening you may find me playing Guitar Hero, sitting on my Mac, or watching NCIS with my gorgeous wife Bek.
